According to PCWorld, a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement that it will continue to provide Microsoft software updates to customers of Huawei devices.

"We are still committed to providing a superior customer experience," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement to PCWorld. "Our preliminary assessment of the US Department of Commerce's decision indicates that we will continue to provide Microsoft software updates to customers using Huawei devices." The company did not elaborate on its policies, but this can alleviate consumer concerns about Huawei's notebooks.
In addition, Intel has confirmed that it will provide security updates and drivers for Huawei end users running Intel chips.
