The LT3510EFE is a dual current mode PWM step-downDC/DC converter with two internal 2.5A switches. Independentinput voltage, feedback, soft-start and powergood pins for each channel simplify complex powersupply tracking/sequencing requirements.Both converters are synchronized to either a commonexternal clock input or a resistor programmable fi xed250kHz to 1.5MHz internal oscillator. At all frequencies, a180&deg; phase relationship between channels is maintained,reducing voltage ripple and component size. Programmablefrequency allows for optimization between effi ciency andexternal component size.Minimum input-to-output voltage ratios are improvedby allowing the switch to stay on through multiple clockcycles, only switching off when the boost capacitor needsrecharging, resulting in ~95% maximum duty cycle.Each output can be independently disabled using its ownsoft-start pin, or by using the SHDN pin the entire part canbe placed in a low quiescent current shutdown mode.The LT3510EFE is available in a 20-lead TSSOP package withexposed leadframe for low thermal resistance.
